"Holmgard" is the old name Varangians gave to Veliky Novgorod in middle ages. Nowadays, the restaurant of this name combines traditional Russian and Scandinavian cuisines. The interior is quite distinctive due to massive oak tables inlaid with little wooden tiles, to skylights and especially to a huge fish-shaped brazier right in the dining-hall where a good piece of meat, fish or poultry of your choice will be grilled to perfection in front of you.

The restaurant "Yurievskoe Podvorie" is designed in old-Russian style. Thus, you can find log walls, wooden doors, forged chandeliers, benches, tables and chairs made of pine tree, the stuff is dressed in old-Russian traditional clothes. There is a samovar of 1905 right on an ancient chest of drawers. Great positive energy and rare sense of kindness and goodness are as though concentrated in the restaurant…
There are smoking and non-smoking areas. One hall is usually used for holding official events as it's good for presenting programmes, accompanied by alive music.
